Fredrik Eklund, a New York City real estate broker, was born in April 26, 1977 in Stockholm, Sweden. Originally an American high school exchange student in Edina MN, Eklund never graduated from the Stockholm School of Economics when he attended. That isn’t to say that he achieved nothing while there.
Fredrik has done many projects in his lifetime, including being managing director for the firm CORE Group Marketing, which is a real estate firm located in New York City. He also was the managing director for Prudential Douglas Elliman, which is the largest real estate brokerage firm on the East Coast. He also was a gay adult film star and was an information technology (IT) entrepreneur. Eklund’s greatest achievement has been setting record sales in 28 buildings in Manhattan last year.
One of his most remarkable estate sales was selling an apartment to Cameron Diaz. In 2003 Eklund started his career in gay pornographic films and he starred in the parody of The Ring, a porn comedy movie called The Hole. In 2013 Eklund founded Scandinavian’s real estate brokerage. A founder of a top-producing team at Elliman's, which has an astonishing 5,000 agents in 85 offices spread throughout the East Coast.
Last year the tall Swedish realtor and his husband Derek Kaplan got married. Fred is currently one of three New York City brokers who stars in Bravo’s popular docu-series Million Dollar Listing New York. The overachiever is currently working on launching 15 new buildings this coming year and specializes in New Development, which means he will have so many reasons to do his obnoxious, awkward high kicks!
