Robert Sheehan Bio

Robert Sheehan was born on January 7, 1988. Robert Sheehan is hot. This dashing young Irishman has a lot more to him than his devilishly good looks, he’s an extremely talented actor with a few very prestigious movies under his belt!

Sheehan, or Robbie as he's fondly known as around loved ones, was born January 7th, 1988. Robert was born and raised in Portlaoise, Ireland deeming him a true Irishman. Good fortune lay ahead for young Sheehan as he studied away and honed his various musical talents with such instruments as the banjo and the spoons! Robert first showed interest in acting beginning with his primary school play, "Oliver with a Twist" in which he played Oliver. 

Sheehan went on, however, to study work behind the camera at Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology for roughly a year. When it became clear that he would never desire to be the "crew" he set his sights fully on becoming "cast" and set his acting career in motion. Although Robert has made multiple appearances in a wide variety of films and productions, “The Mortal Instruments” series has certainly aided his claim to fame the most.

The film series provides very attractive visuals that stay true to the book series and its author, Cassandra Clare. Robert plays friend-zoned Simon Lewis who finds himself in constant turmoil with the aggressively good-looking shadowhunter Jace Wayland, each fighting for the affection of clueless Clary Fray.

Would I have friend-zoned Sheehan? No, absolutely not. Robert has been nominated for a number of awards and has won the prestigious BAFTA television award. Although the award was shared among the entire cast, it was certainly no small feat and c’mon Nathan Young was one of the best characters in “Misfits”, who doesn’t love a bad boy?

With his obvious talent for all roles dealing with the supernatural and those adorable curly locks of his, (I might have reserved a space in a scrapbook just for a lock from Sheehan), Who wouldn’t look forward to the rest of the “Mortal Instruments?” I know i’ll be attending every single showing!
