Born in Hakensack New Jersey on February 12, 1979, Hooman lived in Scottsdale, Arizona, which is where he decided to create a website where people could talk trash about civilians. Celebrities are targets because of their fame, but do everyday, non-famous people deserve the same harsh insults? Nik believes that they do.
Nik Richie didn't want the public to know that he's the person behind the controversial website, but his name was revealed when he got a DUI in Scottsdale. People say that The Dirty is a breeding ground for cyber bullying (it is), and Anderson Cooper and Dr. Phil have interrogated him about whether or not he has a functioning moral compass.
Hooman's website has broken many scandalous stories like Ashton Kutcher's affair, Carrie Prejean's topless photos, Kobe Bryant's affair and more. In 2010 he married blonde airhead Shayne Lamas after knowing her for 24 hours. The dysfunctional company appeared on Couples Therapy where they appeared to be miserable together.
The couple is still married today and they have one daughter together. Shayne almost died when she got pregnant a second time and she had a hysterectomy to save her life. Some people said Nik's misfortune was "karma." That's just as harsh as the criticism he dishes out on a daily basis. Karma indeed?
