Seth MacFarlane Bio

Seth MacFarlane, born on October 26, 1973, has taken the animation world by storm. Seth MacFarlane's sister is Rachel Ann MacFarlane, a voice actress who works for Seth's show "American Dad". Seth is a comedic genius, talented artist, singer, writer, director, producer and live-action star who grew up in the small town of Kent Connecticut where he first realized his passion for cartoons.
After doing some of my own very thorough research, (I might have binge-watched Family Guy for six hours straight, you’ll never know), I immediately fell for his laid back demeanor and blunt humor. MacFarlane is the kind of guy that can make a joke out of just about anything and leave the targeted parties laughing at themselves!

MacFarlane is the creator of the hit show “Family Guy” and co-creator of other such animated shows like “American Dad” and “The Cleveland Show”. Not only does Seth script and create shows, he also takes on voice acting roles and has a talent for mimicking thick Rhode Island accents!

Seth studied animation at the Rhode Island School of Design and earned a bachelor of fine arts. All of MacFarlane’s hardcore study time did pay off and immediately after college, he was scooped up by animation powerhouse Hanna-Barbera working on a few animated shows and creating some of his own like “Larry and Steve”.

Artistically inclined Seth can do a lot more than create characters on paper, he has a remarkable talent for singing as well! When he hits those Sinatra deep bass notes, let's just say you’ll need to take a seat, this guy has talent. So with the singing and the cartoon-doodling, he just can’t possibly have the time for anything else right? Wrong!

MacFarlane was supposed to board one of the planes that crashed into the WTC in New York in 2011. He missed his flight because he had the wrong travel time. Because it's a heavy possibility to think about, Seth says he pushes it to the back of his head because he's a comedian.

Seth loves working on live-action films as well and is widely acknowledged for his live-action film “Ted” about a cute and cuddly bear with suggestive intentions. The World will wait in anticipation for MacFarlane’s next comedic masterpiece but until then, we have “Family Guy” and his cute-as-a-button face to hold us over.
