Candice Crawford Bio

Candice Loren Crawford was born on December 16, 1986 in Lubbock, Texas. Candice Crawford is a former pageant queen establishing notoriety through her win in the Miss USA 2008 pageant.
Candy is also the younger sibling of successful Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford. Through her younger years she actively competed in smaller pageants before establishing her success. Before Crawford’s big pageant win, she was no stranger to media success. 

As a graduate from Trinity Christian Academy in Texas, Candice headed to the University of Missouri in Columbia to pursue a journalism and business degree. Having prior experience in reporting during her undergrad years with CBS, Candice was able to obtain a journalism job. With her degree, Crawford worked as a reporter for KOMU­TV an affiliate of NBC.

Because she works as a reporter, Candice travels to specific high school game days. Aside from her work life, like many young women, she enjoys spending time in the kitchen cooking. She also keeps fit by running. During her free time she puts her loved ones first by enjoying time with friends and family. In 2009, Candice began dating a famous athlete who is also Jessica Simpson and Carrie Underwood's ex,  Dallas Cowboys player Tony Romo.

She later married Romo in 2011. In 2012, the couple became parents to first child Hawkins Crawford Romo. The couple then welcomed a second child in 2014 named Rivers Romo. Before her booming career and marriage, Crawford had the privilege of competing in the Miss Texas Teen USA 2003 and 2005 pageants. She was named as the first runner up for both the 2003 and 2005 competitions and was slowly attempting to establish herself in the pageant world. She also later competed in the Miss Missouri USA competition in 2007. The following year Crawford received the full title and acknowledgements for the swimsuit portion. She continues to develop in her career and as a person beyond her pageant wins.
